Payson Tour
You’ve heard of Arizona’s mining towns… you’ve heard of our gunslingers…. and of course everyone knows of our canyons and cactus. But what about our Pine covered Rim and Cattle Country? Enter Payson, a cool and relaxing little town on the scenic Mogollon Rim. The drive northeast out of Phoenix takes you through some of the most incredible Sonoran Desert Country out there. Rolling hills and cactus spotted formations fill your view. After arriving in Payson, visit a truly inspiring place, the Zane Grey Home and Museum. Lunch homestyle at the Knotty Pine Cafe, Old West Buffalo Bar & Grill, or the Zane Grey Dining Room at Kohl’s Ranch. Tonto Natural Bridge is an enormous Natural Cavern which makes for an incredible afternoon hike. Or take in the Shoofly Indian Ruins or Rim Country Museum for a peek into Arizona’s past. Some nice relaxing options are the Payson Candle Factory which is becoming more and more famous, horseback rides near Kohl’s Ranch, or go Antiquing at one of the many quaint shops and galleries. Payson offers all of this, in one pleasant small town setting.
